Welcome to the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro hub update. Here, you will find everything you need to know about the latest Android updates for both devices, including their current versions and when future updates may arrive.

Both the 8 and 8 Pro use OxygenOS, the Android skin of the OnePlus compatible. OxygenOS is known for its fast-paced updates, so be sure to bookmark this page and visit often.

OnePlus 8 Pro Killer flag

OnePlus has all grown up. With the OnePlus 8 Pro, you get a straightforward flag, with all the

instruments and whistles. The powerful specs, stunning display, fast wireless charging, and water resistance make the OnePlus 8 Pro a very different option from the Galaxy S20 Plus, and cheaper up to $ 300 cheaper.

OnePlus 8 Snapdragon 865 cheap

OnePlus 8 adheres to the formula that has made OnePlus so successful. It gets you the latest processing package, a flexible camera, and a nice display, which uses a smooth Oxygen OS. You miss the wireless charging and official IP rate, but for what the OnePlus 8 offers is an attractive deal.

Current stable version: Android 11

When will the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro get Android 12? October 2021 (estimated)

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro was launched on April 14, 2020. Both launched with the latest version of Android out of the box: Android 10. We expect both devices to get at least two major Android updates in the future - Android 11 in -2020 and Android 12 by 2021.

A few days after the launch of the phones, OnePlus released the Oxygen OS 10.5.4 update for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. It was a small upgrade, but it brought the Google Live Caption feature to phones. It also improved OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z earbuds support, improved cameras and fingerprint sensors, improved system stability, and more.

However, dozens of users have begun reporting green appearances on the display of their phones. Some also reported a dark matter that caused the dark areas of the screen to lose data.

OnePlus then unveiled Oxygen OS 10.5.5 for both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. The renewal type fixed the green tint problem for some, but the darker cracks problem remained.

The changelog also had heavy lips with display problems. The only sign on it that was related to the display was a marker labeled "optimized the display effects," which could clearly mean a green color or a dark brown matter.

In early May, OnePlus released the Oxygen OS 10.5.6.IN11AA for the OnePlus 8 Pro and 10.5.5.IN21AA for the OnePlus 8. Changelog did not explicitly confirm the resolution of display problems on the OnePlus 8 Pro, but stated general system development, camera, and network.

However, some users who have received this update are not happy about it. A Reddit user said the update fixed the green issue on the OnePlus 8 Pro when DC Dimming was turned on, but reappeared when DC Dimming was turned off. One OnePlus platform user reports that the camera on the OnePlus 8 Pro deteriorated after the upgrade and led to photos showing random explosions.

On May 29, OnePlus reportedly began releasing a color-coded camera to disable the color filtering of the OnePlus 8 Pro, not only in China, but also globally. The move came after it was recently discovered that the color filtering camera on the back of the OnePlus 8 Pro could be used as a type of X-ray camera. Update attached to Oxygen OS 10.5.9.

The above-mentioned update was short-lived, as the firm then pulled over and confirmed to Android Police that it was accidentally uninstalled.

On June 4, OnePlus released a critical update to the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. Added HEVC coding to phones allowing users to record videos of the same quality as the legacy H.264 codec while consuming very little storage. It also added a lot of program preparation, a May security clip, and more.

It also restored the power of "X-ray vision" in the color filter camera on the OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus accidentally deleted this controversial feature with a renewal in May. So in the event that you install the OnePlus 8 Pro update that disabled the feature, you can simply use this OTA to restore it.

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro received the August 2020 security patch, 16MP self-adjusted camera design, bug fixes, and system stability improvements in the August update.

The first adopters were given the option to install Open Beta 1 for Oxygen OS based on Android 11 in September, followed closely by the release of Open Beta 2. The beta models have brought more UI tweaks to the system and improved ambient display, Game Space, Zen Mode, and Dark Mode.

In mid-October, a new stable version of Oxygen OS 11 was released that upgrades Ambient Di phones

Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro Earbuds Already Getting First Update

TECHIE

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S21 series, namely the Galaxy S21, S21 +, and S21 Ultra and Galaxy Buds Pro devices at an uninstalled event on January 14. Now, Galaxy Buds Pro is already holding its first update.

According to SamMobile, after a recent update, wireless earphones can now adjust the left / right audio balance. This feature will be useful for users with hearing impairments.

The update brings improvements to Bixby's voice response and also improves system stability and reliability. Samsung has been on its toes to press for the latest updates.

It’s good to see Samsung confirming that before the Galaxy Buds Pro gets into its users, they will get the best audio experience in the box.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro is the best wireless headset from the company. Due to the hustle and bustle around the device, a hand-held video has been opened before the phone can be fully operational.

Buds Pro comes with an improved Ambient audio feature, Active Noise Cancellation, and an IPX7 water and dust resistance certificate.

In addition, Galaxy Buds Pro offers 5-18 hours of playback, compatible with devices running Android 7 or higher. However, devices must have at least 1.5GB of RAM or more.

The Buds Pro comes with features that include Bluetooth 5.0, dual drive settings, USB port C port, fast charging, and wireless charging support. Samsung retains the $ 199 price tag for Galaxy Buds Pro. There are 360-degree audio, Game Mode, and touch controls as well.

This year, Samsung is sticking to an oval construction, which differs from the round shape of its predecessor. The charging case for Buds Pro is similar to Green Buds Live.

Returning to the Galaxy Buds Pro update, it comes with the AUA1 build number and weighs about 2.2MB in size. There are several performance improvements and a new feature included with this new update of Galaxy Buds Pro.

Renewal is pressed with OTA in batches. Which means it won't be live for all users at once. However, if you wish to check out the update, you can check it manually from the wearable app.

Therefore, you need to go to the Galaxy Wearable app and tap on the Watch software update. When a new update is available, then tap the download and install button.

Xiaomi to launch three foldable smartphones in 2021; Oppo, Vivo to join

With limited companies offering mobile phones right now, the arrival of companies like Xiaomi and Oppo will expand the market and increase competition, ensuring that cheaper phones are less expensive.

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is expected to launch roll-out calls next year, according to a tweet by Ross Young, chief executive of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC).

According to Young, Xiaomi could launch three folding phones in 2021, with three different design templates - folding, folding and twisted phones.

Young also pointed out the Xiaomi phone rolling out to look like the Huawei Mate X. An 8-inch screen can be expected from an outgoing phone, which will have a larger screen than the folding variant. Huawei, also another Chinese smartphone maker, had unveiled its flagship phone in November 2019, with global market availability starting in March this year.

Earlier this month, Young announced that companies including OPPO, Vivo, and Xiaomi would launch four mobile phones next year, with the possibility of Google releasing one in 2021.

The mobile phone sector seems to be gaining traction in the market, which encourages companies to make the most of it. With limited companies offering mobile phones at the moment, the arrival of companies like Xiaomi and Oppo will expand the market and increase competition, ensuring cheaper phones are less expensive for consumers.

Earlier, Xiaomi had patented China's built-in mobile phone with a quad-camera system. The company also installed 48 telemarks, which is expected to be its leading model on the rolling line.

MORE FEATURES Dual SIM slot, 5G Dual SIM slot, 5G Dual SIM slot, 5G Design

For that big notch, the design of the Vivo V20 Pro 5G looks outdated. But you should know that it is the smallest and lightest tool of these three. It is one of the thinnest 5G phones because of its 7.4 mm size and is surprisingly light at just 170 grams. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G is the most compact phone of this comparison due to its small display. If you don’t care about size, then the best design is for OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G. It comes with an amazing look, a curved screen with high screen dimensions to the body, and even parts of a design that glows in the dark. It is almost as thin and light as the Vivo V20 Pro 5G, though it has a larger battery.

Apart from boasting of excellent design, the OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G has an excellent display. It is an OLED panel with a brightness of 90 Hz and very high brightness (up to 1100 numbers). On the other hand, the Redmi K30 Pro has an HDR10 + certification, but does not have a 90 Hz update rate. It has an OLED panel and is very wide, but the light is low. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G has a full HD + OLED panel with HDR10. None of the visuals are disappointing and all include an in-display reader fingerprint.

Types and Software

The best chipset is the Redmi K30 Pro: we are talking about the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform by Qualcomm paired with 8 GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage. But with the OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G, you get the same chipset in terms of performance: 1000+ sizes can be set between Snapdragon 855+ and Snapdragon 865. The OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G packs low UFS 2.1 storage, but offers higher maximum RAM: up to 12 GB. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G is a midfielder with its Snapdragon 765G SoC. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G and Redmi K30 Pro are running Android 10 (the Vivo V20 Pro 5G has already received an update to Android 11), while the Oppo Reno 5 Pro is based on Android 11.

Camera

The Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G wins the rear camera compact due to the bright opening of a large 64 MP camera to allow it to provide high quality in low light conditions. On the other hand, the Vivo V20 Pro 5G has better selfie cameras: front camera 44 + 8 MP. But the Redmi K30 Pro is capable of recording 8K videos.

Battery

The Redmi K30 Pro is a battery champion due to its large capacity of 4700 mAh. The Oppo Reno5 Pro comes  in the 4350 mAh back and wins thanks to comparing fast charging with its 65W power. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G has just 4000 mAh.

Price

The Oppo Reno5 Pro costs Price at  Rs35,000 for its basic variants, the Redmi K30 Pro costs Rs32,290 and the Vivo V20 Pro 5G costs 29,000. The OPPO Reno5 Pro wins comparisons for its better design, display, rear cameras, faster charging, and Android 11 in the box. But it costs more.

OnePlus 9 Lite to come with a flagship processor

TECHIE

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC is the highest smartphone processor on the market. Although MediaTek is just launching a new major processor, it will not be compatible with the Spapdragon 888. Samsung also has the Exynos 2100 which competes directly with the SD888. However, not many third-party phone manufacturers use the Exynos chipset. This means that there will be a lot of pressure on the Snapdragon 888. OnePlus is one of the many Chinese manufacturers that have shown interest in launching a phone with a Snapdragon 888 processor. in the series will not. The OnePlus 9 Lite is a medium (or low-end) number one in the OnePlus 9 series. However, if the latest reports are true, it will still use the main chip. Recent reports indicate that the OnePlus 9 Lite will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. This is Qualcomm’s 2019 flagship processor and a direct predecessor to the Snapdragon 888.

OnePlus 9 Lite - a cheaper option for OnePlus fans

In addition, reports say that the complete configuration of the OnePlus 9 Lite is very different from the OnePlus 8T. This smartphone will come with a full range of full AMOLED screen update. It will also have a triple camera setup and Android 11 out of the box.

The news also claims that the OnePlus 9 Lite may not be using the 65W high-speed flash charging technology. Currently, the OnePlus 8T already supports 65W flash charging. The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro may support 65W or faster power charging.

As for the official release date, all speculation points to the March release date of the OnePlus 9 series. In addition to the OnePlus 9 Lite, there will also be OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. It is expected that these calls will introduce you to the same event. Reports indicate that the OnePlus 9 Lite will be launched in Chinese and Indian markets. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

The OnePlus 9 will come with 65W faster charging and higher battery power

The OnePlus 8 Pro has so far been the only wireless device and reversed wireless charging. It’s amazing to see that these features come to the vanilla flagship next year. After all, the OnePlus 8T released in October did not pack any of these features. The OnePlus 9 series, apparently, represents a major step forward for the company. According to 91mobiles, the OnePlus 9 will get 65W faster charging. This technology was introduced with the OnePlus 8T and will be the standard for next year's brands. In addition, the vanilla battery gets a significant bump from 4,300mAh on vanilla 8 to 4,500mAh battery on the OnePlus 9.
