Xiaomi to launch three foldable smartphones in 2021; Oppo, Vivo to join

With limited companies offering mobile phones right now, the arrival of companies like Xiaomi and Oppo will expand the market and increase competition, ensuring that cheaper phones are less expensive.

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is expected to launch roll-out calls next year, according to a tweet by Ross Young, chief executive of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC).

According to Young, Xiaomi could launch three folding phones in 2021, with three different design templates - folding, folding and twisted phones.

Young also pointed out the Xiaomi phone rolling out to look like the Huawei Mate X. An 8-inch screen can be expected from an outgoing phone, which will have a larger screen than the folding variant. Huawei, also another Chinese smartphone maker, had unveiled its flagship phone in November 2019, with global market availability starting in March this year.

Earlier this month, Young announced that companies including OPPO, Vivo, and Xiaomi would launch four mobile phones next year, with the possibility of Google releasing one in 2021.

The mobile phone sector seems to be gaining traction in the market, which encourages companies to make the most of it. With limited companies offering mobile phones at the moment, the arrival of companies like Xiaomi and Oppo will expand the market and increase competition, ensuring cheaper phones are less expensive for consumers.

Earlier, Xiaomi had patented China's built-in mobile phone with a quad-camera system. The company also installed 48 telemarks, which is expected to be its leading model on the rolling line.
